Teriyaki Salmon Donburi (based on this recipe)
Serves 2
1 cup short-grain white rice
1 water to cook rice
2 1/2 oz soy sauce
1.7 oz mirin
2 tbsp sugar
half an onion, finely chopped
3 cloves galic, thinly sliced
~1/2 lb salmon, or enough for two people
1 green onion, thinly sliced
finely grated nori
Get the rice cooking, either on the stove or in a rice cooker.
Combine ingredients for the marinade and soak the salmon fillets until the rice is done.
When you turn off the heat of the rice, start frying the salmon with roughly 1/3 of the marinade on medium heat.
When edges of the salmon turn brown, flip the fillets and add the rest of the marinade. Cook until done.
Serve the salmon over white rice and garnish with the green onion and nori.
**Need to figure out better liquid measurements.**
